When is the best time to have an aesthetic treatment?
Any time of year can be a good time. What makes the difference is planning ahead.

Medical aesthetic treatments require planning: a detailed medical consultation, a focus on each patient’s needs and goals, and a detailed treatment plan to achieve them.
Any time can be the right time
Any time of year is a good time to start a medical aesthetic treatment, as long as there is no medical condition that rules it out; during your consultation, the doctor reviews your medical history, listens to your plans and tells you the best time for your case.
Plan your treatment ahead
Each treatment takes its own time to show results. Some, like hyaluronic acid, are visible right away; others, like botulinum toxin, start to show in the following days; and collagen biostimulators work gradually, over several weeks.
Treatments done in sessions take even longer. Peels and nanopore, for example, are recommended in 4 sessions, every 4 to 6 weeks: a full plan can take several months.
So if you want to look your best for an event, such as a wedding, a graduation or a trip, we recommend booking a consultation weeks or even months in advance. That way the doctor can design a plan that is ready in time, without rushing.
Injectable treatments
Procedures such as botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid or collagen biostimulators may cause small bruises, which fade within a few days.
If you have an important event, we recommend booking your treatment a few days in advance. After the procedure, you should also be careful with sun exposure.
Treatments that expose the skin
Topical procedures, such as peels, nanopore or CO2 laser, directly expose the skin. That is why sun exposure should be limited in the days that follow.
If you are planning a beach trip or time outdoors, tell the doctor so your sessions can be scheduled at the best time.
Before your appointment
- Tell the doctor about your plans and the date of your event, if you have one.
- Let us know about any medication you take and your health conditions.
- Wear sunscreen every day, even at home.
- Follow the care instructions the doctor gives you after the treatment.
